Discovered at the Brandon Mall in Tampa Fl, Bianca Xiara has made her mark on the entertainment industry as more than just a model, a feat that most percieved as impossible. Since the age of 3 Bianca Xiara has been an enthusiastic student in ballet, modern, jazz and hip hop dancing and theatre arts as well as screen writing and acting and is currently continuing her training at the prestigious Ailey School, the official school of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre in NYC.
Aside from her formal performance training, Bianca Xiara is also a published author who co-wrote and published a book called ‘Outer thing from the inner city’ in 2002 that is dedicated to providing guidance to under privileged children with minimal resources.
On the stage, Bianca Xiara was most recently starred in an Off –Broadway production called “life happens” as a young Christian battling the temptation of being in the industry. You may have also seen her in Victoria Secrets show 2009 as a dancer/model with the Black Eyed Peas, Mercedes Benz Fashion week 08/09 and various videos and pilots.
‘Alis volat propriis’ a Latin phrase meaning, “she flies her own wings” is Bianca Xiara’s mantra for life. Although she is passionate about and accomplished in the entertainment industry she refuses to suffer from tunnel vision and effortlessly lends herself to numerous community outreach and humanitarian efforts when she is away from the stage. Aware of the current cancer epidemic around the world, Bianca Xiara earns her daily living as an established cancer research analyst, researching possible cures for prostate cancer.
Bianca Xiara believes that art helped provide a firm foundation in her life and essentially gave her the discipline to accomplish things she otherwise may not have. This is the reason she aspires to open a non-profit organization soon to do the same for her community. She currently trains young dancers at local parks in Harlem and mentors young girls to help promote healthy mental, physical and spiritual conditions.
