Aspiring Model/Fashion Designer/Entrepreneur Jewel Anastassia Tolbert was born in the midst of the civil war in Monrovia, Liberia in the late 1980s. This was a major set back for some people but like a true Libra born on October 6, her strong personality and sense of determination is what keeps her going. She came to the states when she was 5 years old; lived in New York, moved to the west coast then back to New York again for the 3rd grade. She is a Junior Fashion Major at the Art Institiute of New York in NYC while also pursuing her dreams of becoming a Model. Her whole life has been based on her artistic ability.She loves to draw, write poetry, graphic and web design, photography as well as playing the flute and piano; Fashion and Modeling are just added extras. Her main goal is to own her own Fashion house and to become a well known name. She is very proud to be of Liberian decent and is determined to do all she can to help keep Liberian people at the top. She hopes to one day open a Visual & Performing Arts School back in Liberia to help give those with Artistic passion & abilities the same opportunities she has been fortunate to have.
